I STILL
HAVE MY OLD GUITAR < clip mp3
(Michel E Ouellette)
My girl let me down
Like you spit away a chewing gum
She said , Don’t stick around Baby
You better play your ol’ Guitar
Cause I ain’t gonna let you come back
My boss kicked me out
Just like the last new comer
He said , Don’t stick around Buddy
You better play your ol’ Guitar
That’s the only way for you to survive
The coach took me out of the team
Just like an old broken bat
They said , Don’t stick around Buddy
You better play your ol’ guitar
if you wanna be someone, someday
I lost my Girl, I lost my Job, I lost my friends
But I don’t mind at all
‘Cause I still have that old Guitar
And believe me,
I’m gonna play it ‘till the day I die”

BLUE MONDAY
< clip mp3
(Fats Domino)
Blue Monday how I hate Blue Monday
Got to work like a slave all day
Here come Tuesday, oh hard Tuesday
I'm so tired got no time to play
Here come Wednesday, I'm beat to my socks
My gal calls, got to tell her that I'm out
'Cause Thursday is a hard workin' day
And Friday I get my pay
Saturday mornin', oh Saturday mornin'
All my tiredness has gone away
Got my money and my honey
And I'm out on the stand to play
Sunday mornin' my head is bad
But it's worth it for the time that I had
But I've got to get my rest
'Cause Monday is a mess |
THE
WOMAN WHO FIXED MY CAR < clip mp3
(Michel E Ouellette)
My engine refused to start
and I was sure I had enough gaz
there was no spark
when I tried to turn it on
So I went to town
trying to find someone to fix it up.
And there I met that woman
She said
I can do something to solve the problem.
She looked under the hood,
checked the oil and the dipper
And she turned my ol’ ‘52 Chevy
Into a brand new Porche.
She said : Your motor ain’t broke,
It just needs to be serviced
I love the woman,
The woman who fixed my car ! |
ANYBODY
SEEN MY GIRL < clip mp3
(Kevin Moore)
None of my business,
getting all of my concern
Tried to put out the fire,
but the flame still burns
And as she pleases
she comes and goes
She's got the wind in her hair
She never ceases to hurt me so
Does she really care?
Is she ever coming home?
Is she ever gonna phone?
Another night alone...
Has anybody seen my girl?
Has anybody seen my woman?
California, Tennessee
Send my baby home to me
Where am I going,
oh what am I gonna do?
I know I'm not crazy,
I'm just hooked on you
So go on and use me endlessly
Could you let me know
When you need me hold me close
And baby don't let go
Are you ever coming home?
Are you ever gonna phone?
Another night alone...

I’M A DAMN
GOOD MAN < clip mp3
(Michel E Ouellette)
I always stay out late at night
It’s true I drink ‘till closing time
Some mornings I can’t even shave
I shake so much, I’m afraid I’ll scratch my face
If I tell you that I’ll call you up
Don’t get mad if I forget
If the waitress calls me Honey
It’s because I give her tips on Saturdays
That’s what I am
You know I’m not that bad
That’s what I am
And I still think I’m a damn good man
When I get up in the morning
I don’t the time to make my bed
I’m such a bad bad cook,
all my guests are gone before dinner
I’ll never make it to the Olympics
And I can’t call myself a true romantic
Even on Sundays my hands are dirty
I like to spend some time working on my Harley
Some guys will make you promises
tell you lies and fairy tales
And In the end
I know you’ll see
they’re not even better than me |
I
DESERVE THE RIGHT TO SING THE BLUES < clip mp3
(Michel E Ouellette)
I’ve never seen an alligator
along the side of the road
I didn't have to pick cotton all day long
to feed my family
I never drove down on Highway 61
And I never stood by myself at the crossroads
But I deserve the right to sing the blues
‘cause I feel them deep down inside of me
I've never been fishing in the Mississippi river
I’ve never played my guitar
on the porch of my friend’s house
I’m a white guy living
where the snow never melts
Well I've never had
so much troubles and sorrows
I never ate crawfish down in New-Orleans
I’ve never had a whole bottle
of corn liquor for breakfast
I’ve never dreamed about
a brand new blue Cadillac
And my baby never left me
for a younger man. |
TOBACCO ROAD
< clip mp3
(John D. Loudermilk)
I was born in a dump
my mother died my daddy got drunk
they Left me here to die or grow
in the middle of Tobacco Road
I Grew up in a rusty shack
all I owned was hangin' on my back
Lord knows how I loathe
this place called Tobacco Road
But it's home yeah
the only life I've ever known
The lord knows how much I loathe
But I love you because you’re home
I'm gonna leave and get a job
with the help and the grace of God
Gonna save my money get rich I know
Bring it back to Tobacco road
Bring dynamite A big ol’ crane
Blowin’ up, tearin’ down and start all over again
Gonna build me a town I'll be proud to show
Keep the name Tobacco Road

JUST LIKE
THE DAY WE MET < clip mp3
(Michel E Ouellette)
I moved far away from you
But you’re still on my mind
I moved far away from you
But you’re still on my mind
There’s no place in the whole world
Where I can stop thinking of you
I miss you so much Baby
I hope you miss me too
I miss you so much Baby
I hope you miss me too
After all these years we’ve been apart
I still love you like the day we met

I GET SO
FRUSTRATED < clip mp3
(Michel E Ouellette)
I get so frustrated
Everytime I see her with another man
I ask myself
Why she was never satisfied
I get so frustrated
Everytime I see a smile upon her face
I ask myself
Why I never made her happy
I get so frustrated
When I call and she hangs up the phone
I ask myself
Why she thinks I’m always wrong |
